Thailand and Slovenia Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in Trade, Investment, and Innovation Partnerships
On 3 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Slovenia with residence in Vienna, paid farewell calls on H.E. Mr. Stanislav Raščan, State Secretary for International Law, Multilateral Affairs, Economic Diplomacy, Development and Humanitarian Aid, and Security Affairs, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia. The Ambassador also held meetings with Ms. Jasna Lhotka, Head of the Department for Asia and Oceania, and Mr. Rok Tomšič, Head of the Department for Bilateral Cooperation II.
During the discussions, both sides exchanged constructive views on Slovenia's strategic role within the European Union and on the international stage, as well as the achievements in advancing bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Slovenia in recent years. They also discussed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations, particularly through expanding trade and investment, promoting collaboration in science, technology, and innovation (STI), and fostering closer connections between the private sectors of the two countries.
The meetings reaffirmed the close relations and shared commitment of Thailand and Slovenia to further advancing bilateral ties and promoting cooperation in strategic areas, with a view to creating greater opportunities and shared economic prosperity, while laying a strong foundation for a closer and sustainable partnership in the years ahead.
