Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi presented her credentials to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
On 3 May 2019, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna, presented her credentials to Mr. Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). As Resident Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand to the IAEA, Ambassador Sriswasdi pledged to further enhance bilateral cooperation between Thailand and the IAEA in the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology. She also affirmed Thailand’s readiness to support cooperation between IAEA and ASEAN which is currently under Thailand’s chairmanship as well as to forge tripartite partnership in the region. The discussion also touched upon various importanat issues related to the Agency's work, e.g. the Agency's programme and budget, situation in the Korean Peninsula, and the future of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
