Visa on Arrival (VoA)

Passport holders of the countries and territories on the Visa on Arrival list may apply for a tourist visa on arrival at immigration checkpoints, for a period not exceeding 15 days.

1. Documents required

A passport with at least two blank pages and a minimum validity of six months.
A filled-out application form.
A recent biometric photograph (4 x 6 cm).
A confirmed return ticket, or proof that you will exit Thailand within 15 days of entry.
Proof of adequate finance (10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family).

You can also apply for the visa on arrival online at the Immigration Bureau online services page, by selecting “Online Application for Visa on Arrival” and following the instructions.

3. Period of stay and extension

Permission to stay	15 days
Extension of stay	Not allowed, except in special cases such as medical emergencies or illness that prevents the traveller from departing Thailand

Visum bei Ankunft (Visa on Arrival, VoA)

Inhaber von Reisepässen der Länder und Gebiete, die auf der Liste für das Visum bei Ankunft stehen, können an den Einreisekontrollstellen ein Touristenvisum bei Ankunft für einen Aufenthalt von höchstens 15 Tagen beantragen.

1. Erforderliche Unterlagen

Reisepass mit mindestens zwei leeren Seiten und einer Gültigkeit von mindestens sechs Monaten.
Ausgefülltes Antragsformular.
Aktuelles biometrisches Passfoto (4 x 6 cm).
Bestätigtes Rückflugticket oder ein Nachweis, dass Sie Thailand innerhalb von 15 Tagen nach der Einreise wieder verlassen.
Nachweis ausreichender finanzieller Mittel (10.000 Baht pro Person bzw. 20.000 Baht pro Familie).

2. Online-Antrag

Das Visum bei Ankunft kann auch online über die Online-Dienste des Immigration Bureau (thailändische Einwanderungsbehörde) beantragt werden. Wählen Sie dort „Online Application for Visa on Arrival“ und folgen Sie den Anweisungen.

3. Aufenthaltsdauer und Verlängerung

Aufenthaltsdauer	15 Tage
Verlängerung des Aufenthalts	Nicht möglich, außer in Sonderfällen, etwa bei medizinischen Notfällen oder einer Erkrankung, die eine Ausreise aus Thailand verhindert
