Royal Thai Embassy in Vienna Hosted Book Launch of “we have fun@Thailand — HUA HIN”

On 23 September 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Vienna hosted a book launch for the travel booklet "we have fun@Thailand — HUA HIN" at the Thai Residence.

The travel booklet or Libretto di viaggio "we have fun@Thailand — HUA HIN," was written by Mag. Karin Strahner and illustrated by Dr. Franz S. Englhofer, an Austrian couple. The book captures the charm, culture, authentic culinary delights, lifestyle, and beauty of Hua Hin—Thailand's renowned seaside resort—through the personal reflections and true experiences of the two Austrian travelers, who have been visiting Hua Hin for more than 20 times. Through their work, they share their fond impressions and aim to inspire international travelers to explore the magic of Thailand.

The event was warmly attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from UN international organizations in Vienna, and esteemed Friends of Thailand.

To highlight the appeal of Thai culinary soft power and capture the experience of sea, sand, and sun of Hua Hin, guests were served a vibrant selection of Thai dishes and seafood street-food delicacies, including Ping Ngob (Hua Hin-style grilled curry fish cakes), crispy mussel pancakes, chicken satay, rich Panang beef curry, traditional coconut pancakes (Khanom Krok), and Thai tea crème brûlée.
