The Royal Thai Embassy and Permanent Mission of Thailand hosted the 53rd Meeting of the ASEAN Vienna Committee (AVC) and hand-over AVC Chairmanship to the Embassy of Viet Nam

On 2 July 2020, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi chaired the 53rd Meeting of the ASEAN Vienna Committee (AVC) at her Residence. Meeting’s participants, comprised of ambassadors and representatives of ASEAN embassies and/or permanent missions in Vienna, exchanged news and information related to bilateral and multilateral works as well as discussed work plan to promote ASEAN’s interests and unity in the contexts of Austria and Vienna-based international organisations. 

At this meeting, Ambassador Morakot concluded her term as AVC Chair and handed-over to Ambassador Dzung Le of Viet Nam who would take turn in chairing the Committee, in accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation among ASEAN Member States’ missions in Vienna
