Thailand and Slovakia convened virtual meeting to enhance economic cooperation

On 29 January 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy organized a virtual meeting between the key Thai and Slovak agencies to explore potential economic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was organized as an introductory platform to initiate dialogue and identify opportunities for future collaboration. Participant included the Royal Thai Embassy, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the Board of Trade of Thailand, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Bangkok, and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO).

In her opening remarks, H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Austria, highlighted the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between Thailand and Slovakia. She noted that the meeting was a timely opportunity to translate strategic vision into tangible results. Both parties expressed a firm commitment to helping businesses identify concrete partnerships and agreed to maintain regular communication to coordinate joint activities in the near future.
